Huge THANK YOU to cousin Richard for the quick talk-thru on how to get music on my blog. I didn't understand everything but remembered something about "loudfusion" and "help" in blogspot and somehow, TA-DA! we have music! And THANK YOU to Megan (who has her masters and is done with college) for the long-term-loan of her lap-top so I can use it for my college classes, and research, and current events (and music, and email, and keeping up with family blogs).
I love music. Music is like air and water and sunshine, an absolute necessity. In a leadership meeting years ago, they told us that singing time in Primary (Junior Sunday School) is when the children learn, really come to KNOW, the gospel, where their testimonies begin to grow. Through the sweet, and sometimes energetic melodies, and through the words of praise and love for the Lord and all that He has blessed us with, we learn, and come to KNOW, of His unending love for us. And we'll search and hunger for more ways to feel that love and pass it on and share it. We feel it when we serve His children, when we feed His sheep, when we read His word, when we live His plan, and when we go to Him in prayer. But we, I, get so busy rushing around trying to accomplish a lot of "good", while the "best" gets pushed further and further off my full schedule. That's where music, and sunrises, and apple blossoms, and birds singing, and skies packed with bright stars come in and remind me of my amazing blessings and of my Father waiting for me to remember Him. Thank Thee for music.
