forbidden white bread (not the 100% whole wheat, but the fluffy and flaky, and yet somehow at the same time dense and moist, stripped grained - no usable nutrients left - YUMMY white bread - thank you Sister H for the rolls!) with Wishbone creamy ceasar dressing, and with turkey and LOTS of avacado, with a small glass of "real milk" (not powered, not canned, not soy, not rice, not non-fat) - there are simple pleasures/rewards for getting up in the middle of the night with a little boy with a sudden gushing bloody nose
oh - and I just realized it's Pioneer Day - we celebrated Thursday evening with our stake - talk about "simple pleasures," the real pioneers would have LOVED (and been fascinated and amazed by) the crock-pot potluck dinner, the snow cone machine, and the modern comfy shoes we have when we remember and honor their dedication and sacrifice to give their children and US a better life.
